Bavaria 2019 / Overlander meetup
The Allgäu region in South Bavaria offers a beautiful landscape and historic towns to discover. So we visited Oberstaufen, Füssen, Garmisch and Kempten, typical Bavarian towns with lots of good food, picturesque townscapes and romantic castles.
Certainly the highlight was the drive along the Plansee, a lake in Austria close to the German border:
Hanging around in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the famous German ski resort. We had to park on an official overnight spot, but so we had a fantastic view on Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze (3000m elevation):
From Garmisch it was only a 2 hours drive to the overlander meetup organised by Ramonstergarage near to Landsberg am Lech. Its a small meetup, but worthwile to visit. Here are some impressions:
